Forsgren Associates has been a leader in wastewater reuse since the 1980s. While land application addresses the treatment and disposal side of the wastewater equation, we remain committed to converting a perceived liability (treated wastewater) into an asset (reclaimed water). We have developed and designed “first-in-state” reuse projects across the intermountain west. The drivers for this resource are diverse and include regulatory limitations on the amount and timing of nutrients discharged to surface waters, population growth and increased demand for drinking and irrigation water, dramatic advances in treatment technologies, changes in regulatory mindsets that had previously prescribed treatment processes, and changing public perceptions about their water supply and its safety.
