Water Management

It’s a rare mining project in which water management is not a major challenge. Water is usually scarce where you need it, plentiful where you don’t, and expensive to move from one place to the other. As such, managing water efficiently, and therefore, cost-effectively, is critical. The Forsgren Associates approach to planning, permitting, engineering, and construction management are focused on and the result of effective water management. We minimize water movement; minimize the distance that water is moved; use gravity to move water wherever possible; not over-treat water; and re-use water whenever practicable.
